Abstract

This paper deals with the operation of the high power DC boost using the two inductor boost converter system. The converting of the low input power (30-50)V of the distributed power source like PV,WIND ENERGY, FUEL CELL ,etc to the high output power (250-360)V. The obtained output voltage is used to connected to the various dc industrial drives application and its operation are studied in various load conditions. The dc drives connected to the dc boost system will be studied in two conditions 1) open loop condition.  2) Closed loop condition. The various outputs are studied using these two conditions, by using various loads. For soft switching zero voltage transition is used (ZVT). The paper present the high power dc-dc two inductor boost using ZVT , the closed loop system is designed and analyzed by using the PID controller . The paper works in simulation and experiment to verify and analysis the operation of two inductor boost at various dc drives applications. This converter has the advantages of simple circuitry, reduced size, and low cost due to a single resonant inductor. The operation of the proposed system using open and closed loop system using ZVT two inductor boost converter is verified through experimental results.
