A Study On Structural And Optical Properties Of In Doped Zno Thin Films

Abstract


The present studies dealt to design and performance of In doped ZnO based solar cell is reported. The In doped ZnO thin films prepared by sol–gel dip coating method at room temperature. Indium incorporate to leads substantial changes in the structural characteristics of ZnO films. The deposited films were subjected to drying and annealing temperatures of 250 °C. The crystal structure and orientation were characterized by X-ray diffraction. The surface morphological was investigated by atomic force microscopy (AFM), which revealed the crystalline nature of the films. Optical reflectance and transmittance were recorded with a double beam spectrophotometer with an integrating sphere. The optical band gap of these films was determined. The absorption edge shifted to the lower energy depending on the dopant materials. The optical constants of these films were determined using transmittance and reflectance spectra.
