Influence of Lithium Perchlorate on the Optical Properties of Poly (vinyl pyrrolidone) Based Solid Polymer Blend Electrolytes

Abstract


Solid polymer blend electrolytes based on the fixed ratio of lithium perchlorate and various concentrations of poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) and poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) were prepared by solvent casting technique. The highest room temperature ionic conductivity value was found to be 0.2307×10-5 Scm-1 for PEO(90wt%)/PVP(10wt%)/LiClO4(8wt%) system. The optical band gap energies were calculated from UV-Vis analysis. The topographical image of the sample having maximum ionic conductivity was analysed by AFM studies.
