Software Testing in the Cloud and Automation

Abstract


Cloud computing has emerged as a new computing paradigm that impacts several different research fields including software testing.. Software testing in the cloud can reduce the need for hardware and software resource and offer a flexible efficient alternative to the traditional software testing process. Efficient predicting tasks execution time is a key component of successful tasks scheduling and resource allocation in cloud environment Testing services in the cloud today is mainly inclined towards providing a solution that attempts to address a wide range of testing purposes and therefore is not applicable in testing unique applications such as complex distributed systems.  The paper addresses the following areas such as general research in the cloud testing, specific cloud Testing research, i.e., tools, methods, and systems under test and commercial Testing as a Service tools and solutions.
