Review on Application of Nano Technology

P Ramya

Abstract

Nano science can be applied to absolutely any field. It brings about hybridization in all fields of science, to get the best out of it. Nano science includes Nano electronics, Nano material, Nano textiles, nano-biology. Nanotechnology holds an enormously promising future for textiles. The development of ultra fine fibers, functional finishes and smart textiles based on Nano technology has endless possibilities and at present the application of Nano technology in textile has merely reached the starting line. In future one can expect to see many more developments in textile based on nanotechnology. Nano technology finish creates carefree fabrics that minimizes stains, superior liquid repellency and provide additional wrinkle resistance. Nanotechnology has the potential to have positive effect on the environment through pollution prevention, treatment and remediation. Hence nanotechnology is the high tech wave designed to sweep the world.
